Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 1, 2026  ·  Responsible Attorney: Syed Haseeb Hussain, Esq.  ·  Haseeb Legal PLLC

Plain-language summary: We collect only what is necessary to review your credit reports for potential FCRA claims. We do not sell your personal information. We treat all intake submissions as confidential under our professional obligations as attorneys. If you have questions, contact us at sh@haseeblegal.com.

1. Who We Are

BKClaim is a legal intake portal operated by Haseeb Legal PLLC (“we,” “us,” or “the firm”), a consumer protection law firm licensed in Florida, Illinois, and Georgia. The responsible attorney for this website is Syed Haseeb Hussain, Esq., whose contact information is provided at the end of this policy.

BKClaim operates in partnership with Upsolve, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Upsolve is not a law firm and is not responsible for the legal services offered through this Site.

Questions regarding this Privacy Policy may be directed to: sh@haseeblegal.com

2. Prospective Client Status and Confidentiality

When you submit information through the BKClaim intake form, you are a prospective client as defined under Rule 1.18 of the Rules of Professional Conduct applicable in Florida, Illinois, and Georgia. This means:

  • We owe you a duty of confidentiality with respect to the information you share with us, even if no attorney-client relationship is ultimately formed.
  • We will not use information you share against you in a substantially related matter.
  • We will not disclose your information except as permitted under applicable Rules of Professional Conduct.

This confidentiality obligation is a legal duty arising under professional responsibility rules — not merely a policy choice. It applies from the moment you submit the intake form.

3. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you complete the intake form, we collect:

  • Full name, email address, and phone number
  • The state in which you filed for bankruptcy
  • Your approximate bankruptcy discharge date and chapter (7 or 13)
  • Credit reports you upload (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion, or combined)
  • Any description of credit reporting issues you choose to provide

Information collected automatically

Our hosting infrastructure may automatically collect standard server log data, including IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL, for security and site-improvement purposes only. We do not use tracking pixels, behavioral advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking technology.

What we do not collect

We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, payment card information, passwords, or government-issued identification numbers through this Site.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to:

  • Review your credit reports for potential FCRA violations related to your bankruptcy discharge
  • Contact you to discuss the results of that review
  • Evaluate whether an attorney-client relationship is appropriate
  • Maintain records as required by applicable Rules of Professional Conduct and state bar retention requirements

We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, automated decision-making, credit scoring, or any purpose unrelated to potential legal representation.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

Form processing

We use Formspree to receive form submissions. Formspree transmits your intake data to the firm and is contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose. See Formspree’s Privacy Policy.

Co-counsel

If your matter requires co-counsel or referral to an attorney licensed in a state where Haseeb Legal PLLC is not currently licensed, we will obtain your explicit written consent before sharing any information with any other attorney or firm.

Required by law

We may disclose information when required by court order, subpoena, or applicable law. We will notify you of any such disclosure to the extent permitted by law.

6. Attorney-Client Privilege

Once a written retainer agreement is executed, all communications between you and the firm are protected by the attorney-client privilege and the firm’s duty of confidentiality under the applicable Rules of Professional Conduct. Submission of the intake form does not alone create an attorney-client relationship, but as stated in Section 2 above, we treat all intake submissions as confidential pursuant to Rule 1.18.

7. Data Security

All data submitted through this Site is transmitted over TLS-encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Uploaded credit reports and personal information are stored securely and accessible only to attorneys and authorized staff of Haseeb Legal PLLC. We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards consistent with the sensitivity of the information and our professional responsibility obligations.

No electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately at sh@haseeblegal.com.

8. Data Retention

We retain intake submissions and uploaded documents for the period required by applicable bar rules and statutes of limitations. Submissions from individuals who do not proceed to representation are retained for a minimum of two (2) years from the date of submission, consistent with the FCRA’s statute of limitations under 15 U.S.C. § 1681p, and then securely destroyed.

You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us at sh@haseeblegal.com. We will accommodate deletion requests to the fullest extent permitted by our professional obligations.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights under applicable privacy law, including the right to know what personal information we hold, the right to correct inaccuracies, and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at sh@haseeblegal.com. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Children

This Site is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently received information from a minor, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be reflected with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
